Right on the heart of the italian riviera hugging the hillside above the ports of Santa Margherita Ligure & Portofino. Villa Gnocchi is a little jewel, a small farm where olives and the vegetables are grown on the terraces with centuries-old stone walls. We were born as bed & breakfast almost 30 years ago when we first we recovered the olive grove and the typical terraces with stone walls and then we restored the two small farmhouses on our grandfather’s property, it was hard work, very demanding, long and tiring but now villa Gnocchi is a really charming place, good base to enjoy the beauty of the nicest part of the italian Riviera (Santa Margherita , Portofino , Camogli) but also a great place where to relax away from the crowds enjoying the silence and the beauty of the mediterranean nature. Twelve rooms divided between the two houses are available to guests, tastefully decorated, each with private bath, scattered antiques, terraces and lovely panoramic view the olive tree and fruit orchard and down to the sea and the gulf of Portofino. The ambiance is intimate and welcoming, the large terraced garden around the panoramic large pool gives gives guests the opportunity to relax after a day at the beach or hiking along the paths of the Portofino natural park, Continental breakfast, with fruits, vegetables and jam coming from the farm, is served on the panoramic terrace where guest can also curl up with a book or to converse with the other visitors, feeling on being the home of friends. Roberto and his family take care of the guests providing advices and informations to make the stay interesting, helping to discover this part of Ligurian territory so rich in beauty. A bus service and a path that goes down into the village among the olive trees allow you to move easily forgetting your car in the company parking lot, in the neighboring little village four restaurants give guests the opportunity to taste the delights of local cuisine and the fish caught in our sea. Villa Gnocchi is really the perfect place for a relaxing, interesting and charming holiday in the middle of nature and in the heart of the italian riviera.
